The World Surf League (WSL) Europe and Africa's 2026 Junior Qualifying Series (JQS) season starts tomorrow at the Morocco Mall Junior Pro Casablanca. As the first stop of the season, it features a massive field with 128 men and 56 women ready to compete in Casablanca.
This year, Carla Morera De La Vall (ESP) and Alfonso Suarez (ESP) are entering the event as top seeds. Suarez took out the 2025 European Junior title after a nail-biting battle until the last competition. De la Vall finished runner-up in the 2025 season, but she showed what she's capable of, and she'll undoubtedly be gunning for the title this year.
Ben Esterhuyse (RSA) and Levi Epenetos (RSA) are leading the charge for the Africa region, having finished in the top ten last year. The event wildcards have been awarded to Morocco's Maria Elouedrhiri, Agouri Inass, Driss Makoua and Tareq Tehraoui.
The 2026 Morocco Mall Junior Pro Casablanca is scheduled from May 6-10, 2026, at Aïn Diab beach, in Casablanca, Morocco.
The 2026 Morocco Mall Junior Pro Casablanca is supported by the City of Casablanca, the Moroccan National Tourist Office, Morocco Mall, Afriquia Gaz, Marsa Maroc, Seat Maroc, CIH Bank, Aïn Atlas, Butec, 2M, 2M Radio, Hit Radio and Radio Mars.
