The Banco do Brasil São Sebastião Pro continued today with the Men's Round of 64 at Praia de Maresias on the coast of São Paulo. Stop No. 3 of the World Surf League (WSL) 2026 Challenger Series (CS) brings some of the world's best surfers to the region through October 3. This marks the first time São Paulo has hosted a Challenger Series event. The next call is scheduled for Wednesday at 7:00 a.m. local time, with a possible 7:35 a.m. start.

Intense Opening Day to the Inaugural Banco do Brasil São Sebastião Pro

SÃO SEBASTIÃO, São Paulo, Brazil: The opening day at the Banco do Brasil São Sebastião Pro was historic with incredible performances and excitement at Praia de Maresias. Jett Schilling (USA) posted the highest heat total of the day, while Lucas Vicente (BRA) earned the day's highest single-wave score. In front of a packed beach at Maresias, Ryan Kainalo (BRA) won his opening heat to remain in the Challenger Series (CS) Top 5, and local surfer Sophia Medina (BRA) was the only Brazilian woman to advance from the opening round.
